If you are prepared before going in it will be a better experience for everyone involved. The only thing I’d want to change is the wait time, especially now with appointments. That said, considering past experiences, this one was a breeze. From the information desk to leaving with what I needed, the four women I interacted with were helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately I only got the last person’s name... consider yourself lucky if you end up at Marjorie’s window!

I went there on 1st of March 2021 around 2:30pm. I went to register my new plate. The staff there were very friendly and hard working. I have the same experience with them before also. I really like Richmond county DMV and the staff there.nnThank you very much for the entire staff.nGood luck to all.

Despite the fact that it is almost impossible to make an online appointment these days to pass a test, the overall experience is good. Everything is well-organized, nice people, they explained to me what I asked. I took 30 minutes from entering till leaving the place because I spent some time trying to clarify some moments. Thank you.

Staff is nice but covid ruined everything. Mailed in paperwork only to have a call saying I was missing things. The operator told me I can drop the things without an appointment next day. Dropped off the remaining paperwork next day in Dropbox since security guard insisted I was not allowed in. I recirve a call 3 days later asking what are these for? They lost my paperwork and title? I cannot even get a duplicate of that title because it is from another state. It's been about 2 and half weeks and I am not any closer to registering my vehicle. Now I am further away from that and paying for insurance I can't even use.

I had my appointment scheduled for the 18th at 5:30. The wait took almost an hour. I checked in and I was given paperwork to complete, but did not need it since I printed and completed the forms prior to my appointment. My registration went really smooth. I made sure I quadrupled check that I had all the required documents needed. I can now drive my car in NY! Just make sure you have all the forms you need and that you make an appointment online! The wait was not much of a bother.nSince its the DMV, I won't give 4 or 5 stars. The staff were professional, but I will say for the sake of this review, a 3 seems like a good enough review! It would have been nice if all windows were open to better help assist people. I know it's the pandemic right now, so safety precautions are in place. Glad to have gotten this out of the way!
