O'malley's Cabin On The Lake

We read some of the many negative reviews before coming here, and due to a lack of options for pescetarians we decided to give it a shot anyway. While a little pricey for what it is, it’s understandable given the location and possible price increase is due to an effort to stay in business during Covid.nnAll that having been said, it would be hard to see how our experience could’ve been better. The inside is cozy, but due to the pandemic and temperate weather conditions we chose to sit outside with a beautiful view of Lake Cayuga. The food was good. Not exceptional, but good. The reason I’m giving this place four stars is in part to counter all of the negative reviews that I don’t think it deserves (maybe the owners are miserable and create misery in their staff, but I also know how hard it is to keep good staff in a restaurant, especially if you are drawing from a rural community). I am also giving it five stars because you get a real sense of history here, as you do all over this region.nnI worry about a future in the finger lakes where money brings the kind of lakefront restaurants that will squeeze out a quaint place like this, as happened in the SF Bay Area, for example. Come here while you still can, then continue north and look at the breathtaking mansions by sunset.

Fast service, friendly staff and good pub grub.nWe had the fish fry with fries and the lobster roll with fries.nWe liked the portion size since it wasn't a belly breaking meal and felt just right for a lunch time get you through.nNice outdoor seating space with views over the lake too!nFree car parking and covid safe feel.

Great Sunday afternoon eating outside on the deck. Waiter was awesome and served great Bloody Marys! Fun place to hang out and look over the lake.

Omg this place is fantastic. The food is outstanding. The staff make you feel like you are home. The atmosphere would not change a thing. Must visit before the close for the season

The view and launch entertainment is best here. The food is OK, drinks seem to be the better alternative. Dock space is convenient but hours may not be reliable as a sign was posted they were closing early when we were there on a Sunday. Call ahead
