Sorrento's Italian Specialties

Best pizza in Long Beach! The staff are incredibly kind and warm. Our small pie was delicious and the staff allowed us to add an abundance of Parmesan on our pie. It’s a wonderful spot to have a bite with your loved one on a sunny day.

We stoped in yesterday to get food for a special meal to bring to my parents after not seeing them since before the pandemic started in March, and Sorrento’s did not disappoint!nnTerrence took care of us for almost an hour picking out + cutting meats and cheeses for our feast and showing us the best ways we could prepare + serve the cuts of aged filet mignon for the best flavor possible.nnIt is always fun to see someone so passionate about what they do, no matter what it is, and Terrence made a trip to the butcher pretty special with the way he treated us.nnWe had mentioned to him that we were supposed to be in Italy this week for an annual music festival, so we were trying to recreate that experience, and Terrence’s hospitality (and the amazing food!) transported us right back to Sardenga.nnI hadn’t been to Sorrento’s for a good 8-10 years since I moved out of LB, and I’m so glad they are still there! I also learned they are under new ownership since last year, and they still have amazing, helpful, friendly service and incredible food that makes the 40 min trip from Queens well worth it for future charcuterie hauls ud83eudd23nnThey have great quality imported and fresh food (we got house made mozzarella that had been made just hours before we arrived) with really good prices. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so we have tons of leftovers that we are about to enjoy for breakfast!nnThank you, Terrence + all of Sorrento’s team!nnPS: I will mention, don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. It is old-school butcher/deli style the way they do things, you will be here a while tasting samples and chatting with the counter people! Great things cannot be rushed.

Best brick oven.pizza on LI. Huge salad-- order salad for one for 2 and so on. Great biscotti and cookies as well.

I love that this west end gem had everything and more! Nice employees also willing to help! Great shopping experience, never too crowded and plenty of parking! Thank you!
