Riki's Family Restaurant

Always the best breakfast, lunch or dinner at Rikki's in Fairport. It is a friendly place with a varied menu. If you overindulge, rent a kayak nearby at 7 Liftbridge Lane at the Erie Canal Boat Company, or, walk around the village.

Riki's has the best food for miles around. The prices are great. Erica is the best waitress in two counties maybe three!

The food here is always great as are the prices. Today we went and our waitress was horrible. Took forever for her to greet us and take our order. Food still came out quickly. Luckily I brought a water bottle with us as she never came back after we got our food to offer refills or see if we needed anything which we did. I am still giving 5 stars because this is not the normal experience and service is normally great. We watched all the other waitresses doing a great job with their tables.

Our last experience was terrible!! I usually am very understanding towards waiters and waitresses in most circumstances because I myself was a waitress for many years. However, this was a situation that I was unable to tolerate the incompetence of our waitress. Firstly, we were sat at the same time as another couple. No problem there. Understandable they are busy. Waited several minutes and finally she came over to ask us what we wanted to drink. We ordered our drinks and then as she was walking away my husband asked about menus. She said oh you want menus? I'm thinking uh...yeah...of course. She came back around saying she was still waiting on menus. Finally we got our menus and ordered. As she was leaving I asked if I could have a water as well as my husband. She said oh yeah I forgot the water. I had received my coffee but it took forever for him to get a glass of water. To be fair, when she brought the water she did apologize. Then more waiting began. Our patience was wearing thin. The couple that sat at the same time as us ate and left. Other couples left their booths and new people came in. All getting their food. She passed by and I asked if our food was coming out. She said yeah you still wanted it well done right ? I said yes but thinking are you kidding me! It does not take that long to cook an omelet a little longer. At last we got our food. As we are eating my husband cuts into his omelet to find mushrooms. He's allergic to mushrooms. That was the final straw! I called the manager over and told him everything. He wanted to get us new ones and it was going to be on the house. I said absolutely not! We are leaving! We will never return. Sometimes, places don't deserve a second chance!!

Very good food, came with my husband and daughter and we all were very happy with our lunch. Waitress was very attentive, price was very reasonable and a comfortable homey atmosphere. Clean bathroom, clean restaurant. Will be coming back and we definitely recommend it to those looking for home cooked food and a friendly staff.
