An awesome hiking trail especially for snow season. They rent out snowshoes, cross-country ski (available on First time first serve). All the rental transaction is self serve or paid onlinennIt was my first time snowshoe-ing and I and friends had a blast. There are multiple trails that we can choose. I took Heron Marsh trail that is the most popular one. The trail level is easy, but not flat
Excellent trail network with information about the type of environment you are hiking through. Different levels of difficulty and length. Parking was excellent.
Great place to explore fungi, lichen, and moss. Many trails to choose from. Looking forward to coming back for the interpretive mushroom tour.
Cobble Hill trail. here is a very easy 2.1 miles Loop trail with an Elevation Gain: 485 feet. but if you want to shorten the trail with a little bit more of a challenge there is a .40 mile scramble near the being that will take you straight up. otherwise at this point go to the left and you can turn the trail into a out & back without climbing or going down the steep part of the trail. this way you'll take the easier way up along and nice some nice views of Echo Lake. when you get to the top you find plenty of room to roam to checkout the vista from different view points. really no need to any special hike gear unless you decide to take the short cut. than some good hiking shoes would be helpful. so if your looking for a nice easy quick hike to do i would highly recommend this trail or yourself or family. hey don't forget fido. your k9 would love this trail.
You must visit if your in the area. There are like the of different trails that take you through different forests and it's all really pretty.
