Worth every minute of the time it takes to climb. Red trail (rocky trail) is harder and little longer than the blue trail. Both trails meet at junction at one point and the trail up to the summit is on blue trail only. Red trail is very rocky, lot of rock scrambling and leg strength is required. Take enough salty food, vitamin water, water and snacks if you are going to stay at the summit for a while. Coming down will seem fast but will hurt if you are not a mountain climbers in the first place.

My absolute favorite views in the entire park. The hike is very easily accessible. The trail is well marked and easy to follow for beginners and experts alike. Not only is the peak picture perfect but you have multiple spots to stop and catch your breath along the hike while also just gasping at the sheer beauty before you. Favorite mountain so far!

Did easy tower at Belfry. Incredible scenery and color. Then a jaunt up Gilligan for it's great view. Then scenic stops to Schroon, Brant, and Loon lakes. Gorgeous autumn day for a couple of guys in their seventies.

Mild hike. Last 2/10s mile got a little steep. Pleasant walk and nice views at the top.

Awesome hike that has plenty of views. Well marked trail. Enough elevation gain to be fun. I thought this place was really special.
