Bistro 93

I was looking for an outdoor 'bubble dome' restaurant, and discovered Bistro 93 courtesy of Step Out Buffalo's guide. Although a bit farther than I was hoping, I really wanted the bubble and Bistro 93 offered them without the time limit and spending requirements of some other Buffalo area restaurants. In my arrogance, my expectations for an Akron restaurant were not super high. I am happy to say that I was proven 100% wrong!nnThe (potentially) not so great: If you're looking for a more upscale look, or to be wowed by appearances? Bistro 93 is not the place. It's an older building with furnishings that made me think of a church basement Sunday brunch, or a side-of-the road older country restaurant where no one has paid attention to the decor since it opened. I did not use the restroom, so I cannot comment on that aspect. The bubble/domed outdoor dining area was cute though, with fairy lights and a garden-type feel. It was already dark when we arrived, but it looked nice enough from what we could see.nnThe Great Things: To say that we were pleasantly surprised (is blown away too strong?) by every other aspect of this restaurant is an understatement! The food was DELICIOUS! Our appetizer was goat cheese wrapped in a pickled flower. Unusual? Yes. Amazing? YES! Scallops done to perfection, a spicy sausage lasagna that would make any Italian grandma proud, a nice wine list complete with sweet and dry options. Please for the love of God, save room for dessert! Fresh, home made selections of pies, cakes, and other desserts that knocked our socks off! Service was excellent. Prompt, friendly, engaging without being too much. Total bill for 1 app, 2 dinners, 3 glasses of wine, 2 desserts, and 2 coffees = $93.00. Very reasonable especially considering the quality of the food, service, and overall experience.nnOverall I highly recommend a trip to Akron to visit Bistro 93!

Had a delicious meal with great service! Reserved an igloo...toasty warm and very private. Those concerned about Covid...your server is the only contact other than a quick walk through the diningroom. Varied menu. Homemade desserts. Our first time but not the last!

Food is always good. I have never had a bad meal here. Menu has a variety of food to choose from. The desserts are homemade and they always taste amazing. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The owners are friendly and make you feel right at home. Highly recommend.

Great owners! Food is fantastic! Love the garlic parm wings! Baby back ribs best in Western NY! Go there.

Was on the Clarence Bike Path with my family. An unknown bicyclist mentioned this place to us with a rave review. We're very grateful he did! The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The staff were wonderful. We'll be back again and again!
