Marsh with lots of sedge and mosquitoes but enjoyable. Geese all over, so beware overhead flocks of dive-bombers! Simple yet sturdy footbridges. There is a mesh structure straining the marsh’s sluice gate. Odd root formations in knarled trees, including one root which climbs up the tree’s trunk. In one clearing you can see Stissing Mountain’s fire tower. At one point the trail skirts a ranch raising cattle.
Love this hike! Mostly flat with a few inclines and declines, nothing crazy. My kids (4 &6) loved it as well. Be prepared for mud in the wet season.

Daughter's wedding. Very nice spot to visit.
