The place itself is not hard to find, and the trails are mostly easy to follow. That being said, it has not been maintained regularly: there's overgrowth of grass, trails are muddy and not the easiest to walk on, and there was even a tree down blocking part of the boardwalk on the west trail. Like others have said, it has a lot of potential to be a quiet hiking spot if it were maintained on a regular basis. The hike itself on the west trail was easy/moderate with a few hills but mostly flat ground. The bugs were not bad, but I would recommend bug repellant nonetheless.

The park, I give 3 stars. The hiking trails, I give 2. We visited today and hiked 4.5 miles. The trails are a mess, which is a shame because it has the potential to be amazing. We started on the east trail (which does intersect with the west trail in a big loop) -- 1st .5 mile or so was overgrown, then it was very nice for 2+ miles (no trail markers in that section though, so we did get lost for a bit), then the final mile was an absolute disaster. A full mile or so through wetlands, very muddy, no actual trail (even though there were several sign posts indicating we were in fact following the trail), and it went along the side of a very steep hill so we both twisted our ankles several times (the choice was walk sideways on the hill, or walk through mud up to 6 inches high). The sign posts all have interesting facts on them, but many are very old and difficult or impossible to read. I took photos of some of the ones in the best shape. There is a beautiful view if you reach the top of the mountain. I don't regret going, but I wish we had been better prepared and allowed more time for this hike...it took us about 2.5 hours total. There is a really cool boardwalk over the worst of the wetlands, but it is only maybe .25 mile at the most, and the rest of the wetlands you have to walk through.

Horrible. The trails are horrible. The west trail is good up until W-5. It's so muddy. We turned back around and when we got back to the kiosk we took the east trail and once we got to the small waterfall and it got so muddy again.
