This is a really awesome little park with a lot of history. The centerpiece are the two Endicott Era gun batteries which defended the entrance to Bremerton until 1920. The more impressive battery is not well marked and cam be found by parking at the boat launch at the north end of the park and following the trail that leads uphill near the bathrooms. After you go around the corner, look for a spur trail to the right that will take you to the upper battery. The shell rooms go down two levels, so bring a flashlight!

Nice park for picnic and spending time outside. Limited space and very slimy and rocky waterfront. Private homes make access limited.

Beautiful short walk, perfect for viewing the sunset at a sandy/rocky beach.

So far...my favorite park on Bainbridge...walk by the water or up the hill through the forest...enjoy remnants of days gone by and wars since remembered...great energy...wonderful light...the beach...the benches...the privacy and boat launch...it has it all...on the water...
