Extremely thrilled we stumbled upon this camping area. Traveling in a 25 foot RV was a breeze in this camping location. We decided to stay on the road later then expected to watch the sunset on those amazing mountains out here and next thing you know... we need a place to stay for the night. The campsite was easy to find with easy hookup. SPACIOUS camping lots is an understatement. We had neighbors because every now and then I saw someone walking past the main trail but we never heard anyone! I really want to come back to explore this area again. I HIGHLY recommend this part of our amazing country and be sure to book mark this location for camping.nnASK ME anything.. happy to help!

We camped every other weekend at Sugarloaf during the summer and into the fall. We love it! It's quiet, clean, really good sized sites, and the host is super friendly. We are looking forward to going back next spring.

This was perfect for our adventure with a beautiful stream and hiking trails. There are both RV/trailer sites and purely tent sites. The sites are mostly wooded. Limited or no cell phone coverage. No RV hookups and pit toilets. There are a good number of water faucets but not on the sites. There is a open grass activity area.

The campground was a pretty place to camp at. Had some great trails but unfortunately our experience made us all feel like we constantly had to walk on eggshells to enjoy ourselves. They park must not be visited very much, we rented out almost half the campground and spent close to $500 for 3 days. We had to get more sites to follow guidelines of 8 people per site but were expected to not make an entire sound despite there being so many of us. Which also led our groups to constantly be split up. We had called for 3 days in a row prior to booking our sites to see if there were going to be any guidelines like quiet times and to make sure this was the best location for us to visit. Nobody answered the phones or any questions we had. The women who runs the campgrounds constantly drives up to your sites to tell you to be quiet even when you aren’t being loud. Especially for the amount of people we had, for us to be as respectful and we were , & have a park ranger come & talk to us. He even AGREED we were okay and the women was being as he said “pissy”. She also had told him we left food out and when he walked up to all of sites he saw all our food was packed away into our cars. Only brought out when we cooked. This was her attempt at kicking us out despite the amount of money we spent. We’ve camped many times , and have never had an issue before. We have NEVER had any experience like this camping. If you’re looking for a location where you aren’t allowed to basically even speak or enjoy yourself I would recommend going here.

I'd give it 5 stars, but the road up to it is a bit rough. Great no-frills campground.
