I absolutely love this place, the staff is so friendly and nice. During my 5 day stay, I met so many friendly, awesome, and incredibly amazing people. Definitely made new friends. There are showers, actual bathrooms, not outhouses. I would stay all summer if I could.
They let you wonder the property outside the fence. Really beautiful place! I Might stay there next time we come back.

Best campground in the UP. Clean bathrooms, great location for hiking and swimming, perfect little beach within the campground. We go every year and enjoy ourselves every time.
Great tent sites right on the lake if you don't need electricity. Lots of flies and mosquitoes but the views of Lake Independence are worth it. There is a boat launch and bathroom facilities close by. Bring your bug dope and your kayaks!
