This is a moderate challenge hike up, with some rock scrambling towards the end. About an hour and a half up at a moderate pace. Shoes with good grip highly recommended. All that said, the view at the top is gorgeous and very worth it. The lake water is crystal clear, and we saw people fishing. Three different trails converge at the top so you have a choice in the up/down.
A steep rewarding climb. Gets a lot of traffic even in October so if social distancing is important to you come prepared and start early
We started on the loop trail which was pretty tough and ascended to the summit. Beautiful! Loved the lake. We descended on the brook trail which was easier and more relaxing. Overall great hike!
This was an amazing experience. We actually took the Loop trail up and the Brook down. The Brook is a much easier trail and quite rewarding to descend.
A great way to spend the day. Hike up to Little Jackson summit. Next over to Tumbledown summit and back down the Brook trail. Picture from the top of Little Jackson looking towards the Tumbledown summit.
