Nice little area to get away and walk or ride bikes!
I enjoyed the Mellinenium trail from this entrance. The other entrance is on the Washington Street side. This trail has varied elevations. Trail is either crushed limestone, asphalt or wooden bridge. There are couple of loops. Beautiful greenery and wild flowers along the path.
Another great place to start your walk on a sunny day. There are bathrooms at this location as well with decent parking. If you enjoy Pokemon Go, there is a gym at the entrance and a gym a 1/4 mile down the trail. Plus its a decent spawn spot as well.
Walking, running, biking and bird watching place. Forest preserve...
This is one of the entrances to the Rollins Savannah. I love talking my dog for long walks.
