Mel's Diner in Elburn is a hidden gem! Best strawberry banana crepes I have ever had. Crepes were thin and crispy, very flavorful and a hefty size. Fruit was fresh and as if that does not make your mouth water, topped with whipped cream! My husband had the bacon and eggs. Eggs cooked to his specification, bacon crisp and dry. His breakfast came with an ample side of country fried potatoes, golden brown and a stack of 2 huge pancakes. Al, the owner was a great host! Coffee cup was never empty and we were entertained with some great, thoughtful conversation. Come see for yourself, and bring along a few friends!

Great breakfast spot with options for Brunch. Great service as well. Will definitely go more often.
