This is a really gooud ice cream place
I just walked in The Plush Horse and my daughter and I weren’t even acknowledged. I stood there for a few seconds waiting to see if one of the three young ladies that were on the floor was going to say anything. One went to the back, another got on the phone, the third stood behind the counter and just looked. I kindly turned around and walked out the door but not before I heard them greet the family that walked in behind us. RUDE!
I moved out of the area and haven't been here in years. After visiting my mom, my daughter felt like ice cream and after pondering places on the way home, I turned around and brought her here for the first time and it was as great as I remember! Definitely a beloved South suburb institution!
It is always a delightful treat to visit the Plush Horse. They were all covid precautions and everyone was respecting the spacing among the parties. Service was quick and efficient.
Really nice old timey ice cream parlor. Portions are so big that I can never finish a small, and it is cheap for what you get. Pretty outdoor patio. The way to order during covid-19 is kind of screwy, it takes a while because you have to call. They have a walk up window, I don't know why they don't do that to avoid people coming in.
