Really family friendly zoo. It’s free with online ticket reservationsnIt’s sizable the African animal house was the highlight of the zoo. It had the largest collection of animals.nA lot of animals were not there but that’s the only down side. The food was closed at 4 witch was early considering the zoo didn’t close until 5nThe gift shop also had a very small selection of items. All and all it was a good time, just wish there was more animals out.

Crazy to think they named this park after a band.

Most of the animals here are very shy, and the farm area was unfortunately closed, but my 4 year old got to see some action, got spooked by a bird, and ate pretty good, so I would definitely consider it a 5-star experience. It was very crowded when I went, but the staff did a great job of enforcing social distancing measures, inside and out. Get here early, very early, to get free street parking, as the lot is incredibly expensive, though I don't mind paying, as the zoo is free and it needs our support

For this early in the season and the cooler weather, there were still some animals to see. Most buildings are closed but there were a couple open but there were long lines to get in. There are a few food venues open & the gift shop. Recommend parking in a lot as the free parking seems to always be full. Reservations are required with a specific time of arrival as they are following protocols. Overall, a good visit.

I still think that Chicago and their lake front parks are some of the best in the world. The views of the skyline, so close to lake, make you forget you're in a huge city. Even during Covid it never feels that crowded
