Was there early morning and early evening, since I was sitting with a friend through his emergency room visit all day. We took the path below the bridge to sit next to the montlake cut. It is nice and clean and very peaceful even during rush hour it was relaxing to sit and watch people training in their shells I guess for crew In fact several of them shouted hello to us. And we watched a fight between a family of birds and an interloper. It was a good counterpoint to the stress of several procedures he had to endure. It's a pretty, well-maintained area, surprisingly private for where it is located, and it felt quite safe.

Beautiful old steel drawbridge crossing the Montlake Cut. (Ship Canal). There are paved walking paths along each side of the canal. Peaceful place to watch rowers training.
