U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

I made a reservation at the N. Cedar Avenue dealer and it got changed prior to my picking up the rental. When I arrived, they did have a rental for me, but the lady had problems correctly filling out the paperwork. When I made the reservation at the North Cedar location, we discussed the options of one way vs. a local rental. I was told it would be less expensive to rent one way to Huntsville, AL. and that was what they arranged. When I picked up the rental, I paid what I was told it would cost and before I left the store, I received a text from U-Haul showing I was renting one way to be turned in in Gallion (about 10 miles from Demopolis) the next day. I was also told I would get my contract e-mailed to me (which never happened). I went back in and the lady called U-Haul and did some things on her computer and told me she changed it to where I could turn it in anywhere. I thought everything was solved. When I went to turn in the truck in Huntsville, the first place I went, the person that handled the U-Hauls was not there and no one could get in touch with him nor did they know when he would be back. I found another location and went there to turn in the truck. During the paperwork part, they told me I was turning it in at the wrong location and there would be an additional charge for that. After all was done, it ended up costing me over twice what I had originally paid. I asked the nice lady at Moore's Mill Grocery where I was dropping it off if I had any recourse and she told me no. Anyway, they were extremely nice and did take off the extra day charge.nIf you rent from here, beware......
