The food was great but the service was very casual. It seemed like each step of the process took much longer than at other Mexican restaurants in the area and we were in before the Friday night rush. There was no sense of urgency for anyone. I also did not get my food until around 10 minutes after the rest of my family did. I ordered off the grill section of the menu, but did not notice any warning in the menu or by the wait staff that it would take any longer. I was to the point I was about to ask where my food was and tell them not to worry about bringing it out at this point, then it arrived. We're looking for a new Mexican restaurant in our area, since our old favorite closed, but I'm not sure this is it.
Of you want Mexican food that's close to what you can get in Texas then this is the place. Their margaritas are really good and they have the biggest margarita I have seen so far anywhere in Alabama. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Definitely my favorite around the Birmingham area.
