This place is GREAT for what it is. Free, with reservations, and very quiet. We saw birds with 6' wing spans, and enjoyed hearing the coyotes howling at night.

Not a place for peace and quiet when camping. No shade at my campsite (campsite #1). Hunters started arriving at 3:30 a.m. in 30 minute intervals. The campers at the campsite next to me had stayed up partying until 11 p.m the night before so not much sleep. I had reserved the site for six days but packed up and left on day three.

Out of the way, quiet and gorgeous! There's a boat ramp, port-a-pots and 3 camping sites, which you have to reserve. It doesn't have a lot of people coming through so you don't have all that extra noise. If I could give it 6 stars, I would. And with all that, it's free!

Free camping, making reservations is easy. No water or electricity so prepare yourself. Quite hours are from 10pm to 6am. Animals must be kept leashed. Great place to relax and not hear traffic or others annoying noises

Wonderful hidden gem. If you use Google maps or waves apps you are in for an adventure!! We ran into gates, bad roads, and was ready to give up when a GREAT LOCAL gave me directions. Worth the adventure!!
