Well maintained parking area. But it's on a busy two lane road. Overflow parking was on the side of the road and seemed dangerous. Two good trails from here. One is concrete or boardwalk out to the bayou. The other broad and a little sandy. I went on a busy April weekend and ironically they was nobody on the paved trail. Not a lot of diversity in ecological communities, but we saw some pitcher plants and sundews, and watched ospreys catch fish. Definitely worth visiting but I'd go on a week day.

Great park with trails for both limited ability and able-bodied. The shorter trail about 1 mile out and back is concrete and raised wooden in areas. The longer trail is 3 miles out and back with a couple of of options. Nice access to bay in many locations. My be wet in few areas but eaisly passable.

Parking was easy, but a little crowded... of course. We went on the nicest day in like a month so...

Beautiful views, saw a few white tail on this hike. Lots of informational signs along the way. Make sure to bring plenty of water it's a bit of a walk.

Not a difficult trail to hike except for after a rainstorm. A few side trails lead to a shoreline where there are shallow waters. I've only been on the longer unpaved trail, so I haven't seen the pitcher plant reserve that's there, but I surely intend to next time. Mosquito repellent is also a MUST.
