Public Storage

Stay away from the ranch road 620 location in Austin. I was renting a storage unit a little further west on 620 and never had a problem or rent increase. Switched to public storage due to it being climate controlled even though it was more expensive, which was expected since it was climate controlled, rent went up three times in two years, so I decided to close it out. We did what was told, clean it out and took the lock by the last day of November. Then December 1st, I get billed for December, when I call to ask why, they said we weren’t out by closing time the day before. We were out by noon the day before, check the punches, you have to use a code to get in and out. They do and say they do see we were out by noon, and did not go back in, apologize saying the 620 place is a kiosk ran one, and they only have employees there a couple days a week. So I guess they just automatically charge everyone, no one actually checking if you were out on time or not. They said they would waive the charge, not to worry about it. Waive, you mean correct the charge, we were out when we were suppose to be. Now January, I get a letter from a debt collector!!! Oh my goodness. And there are no dumpsters to throw anything away when you move out. Rent started at $107 for a 10 x 10 then was up to $169 when we closed it out, quite a significant increase. I am going to dispute the charges and am on hold right now for 40 minutes still waiting to speak to someone at public storage about the issue, been transferred three times with no help. Stay away.

We recently looked at many storage facilities that were reasonably priced and had good security and temperature control and we landed here on 620 . It seen the other facilities had hidden cost while considering them .Cindy was very kind and help full and even got us in at a discounted special they were running. I highly recommend this facility for your storage needs.
