Deep Roots ATX Salon Cedar Park

Every time I get my hair done I leave so so so happy!!! I used to spend a lot of time preparing for hair appointments with pictures and details of what I wanted. With Megan I don’t have to do that. I go and know that I will 100% love what I leave with! Having naturally long blonde hair is only possible because of Megan!! She’s the bomb! I cannot say enough positive things about her as a person and as a professional! I would never ever doubt recommending someone to her!

I am only giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 since Chloe did a great job correcting my awful haircut, which was done by another stylist in the salon.nnMy experience was terrible from the start. I had an appointment booked with Melanie (the owner) for months only to be informed a week before the appointment that they have to cancel it with her because she wasn’t accepting new clients. I was also told that Melanie keeps spots open for existing clients which means my appointment that I had booked for months was unfairly given away to someone else through no fault of my own. I thought that this was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I was put with another stylist who I was told was supposed to be super ‘talented’. Even though I was upset that they canceled my appointment with Melanie (I had researched for a while which stylist I wanted) I agreed to have this new stylist do my hair and boy oh boy how I regret agreeing to this.nnThe stylist totally butchered my hair! I had super long thick hair and she cut off 11-12 inches of my hair without my permission even though I asked for a trim and not a full on transformation. On top of that, the cut was super uneven and chopped really bluntly with no care at all. I showed her at least three times the exact length I wanted and I also told her that I am not adventurous with cutting my hair and didn’t want to cut too much off. She reassured me that she would first cut off less and show me before she cut any more off- but she never did so.nnAt first I was shocked to see how short my hair was but when I got home I just wanted to cry when I saw how uneven and choppy it looked. The haircut was weird overall with random lengths throughout my hair and the underneath bit of my hair was shorter than the top. Even my friends and family were shocked at how such a supposedly reputable salon would have stylists who cut hair so badly. I could have done a way better job myself and I have no hairdressing experience! It was honestly the worst haircut I’ve ever had.nnLuckily Chloe was able to even my hair out and she was lovely to chat to and was super friendly. However, I’m still sad at how much shorter my hair is- it’s not what I wanted and now I have to wait a long time for it to grow out.nnI don’t understand why this salon has so many good reviews. The customer service is very poor and they only seem to care about their existing clients. That is no way to run a business. The prices are not cheap for the quality hair cut I received at $75. All in all it was a very disappointing experience.

Lo was amazing! She explained every step of the process and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Her and her assistant really helped my 8 year old daughter feel special and beautiful. I also have to say Lo has magic hands, her massage while washing my hair was divine! We will definitely be coming back to see Lo. As my daughter so eloquently put, “We need to go back their more often”!

I mean, Lo is actually more stars than 5, but that's all it allows me. I have been in the deep roots family for 4 years. I switched to the Cedar Park location because it was closer to where I live and I am so grateful to have Lo doing my hair. She is truly meant to do hair and is so talented. She's got a great personality and I haven't been this happy with my hair ever! Thank you Lo and Deep Roots!

Chloe is a very talented colorist. I have very high expectations and am very happy with the results of her work. I feel like a natural blonde, which is what I was hoping for. We shared great conversation throughout the service and she was very insightful regarding various products to use specifically for my hair. She was very considerate of my time constraints and made sure that I was out of the salon in a timely manner. I will most certainly be back again to see her and recommend this salon to anyone that is looking for a hair guru.
