My son has a home nearby breakaway and it’s a great place to buy property if YOU can. Real estate has really took off in Austin, but having A small semi airport a stones throw away is a dream come true.
We are new to the Breakaway airport family and neighborhood. After years of searching we finally found our dream home in a dream location. For the business traveler or the aviation enthusiast, this private runway community is a real gem! I am thrilled to raise my kids within a community that shares a respect for the tradition and heritage of flight. We feel blessed beyond reason!
My wife grew up here as her Dad is a pilot, then we built our house here on the runway about 12 years ago. And while I am not a pilot it is very cool to see the occasional plane landing and taking off. A friend mentioned one day it was like being on a lake and watching sail boats. Since its private there’s not a ton of activity but still very cool. And any perceived noise or disruption is extremely minimal, you don’t even notice it from that aspect (even from a non-pilot!). Then there is the community...the people are great!
Very nice airport for small aircraft, if you have any small aircraft, this is a very good airport to watch and see someones skills.
Love our little airport community! Our kids loved growing up here & being a part of the neighborhood activities. They love bringing our grandson to visit so he can fly in Grandpa's plane!
