The park is closed. Drive 30 miles. Road closure
People, how can you give this park a bad review? It isn’t open yet. Of course there are no facilities. It’s still in design phase. Beautiful area. This will be a good park once open.
This is not a functioning state park... yet.nThe area is beautiful but unfortunately it isn’t what you would expect from a state park. For instance there is no entrance, no welcome center, no maps, no trails (like you’re used to from Texas state parks). There is however a very pretty lake with ton of trees, birds, and an interesting tail water off the dam. This place has TONS OF POTENTIAL but as of today there isn’t a formal state park.
This is a nice state part outside of Strawn, Texas. Pretty, but not much there. Stopped for a picnic to avoid restaurants.
