Great spot. I showed up on a Saturday, google maps said it was busy but when I got here I was the only person here. Only car parked in the lot even... that’s what surprised me. If this was in California or Colorado it would have actually been very busy. Though it was pleasant to walk around, listen to the birds and sit under some shaded trees.
They are putting in a new playground that should be open in October or November 2020. There are a number of paved walking or bike trails with plenty of trees for shade. Having a picnic here would be perfect with all the shaded picnic tables. They also have basketball courts at the top end, and there's a large area with grass and a disc/frisbee golf course.
The disk golf baskets have all been removed by the city due to complaints from the home owners in the area. What once looked like an amazing 9 hole corse is now only the concrete launch pads. The baskets are all gone.
Awesome park, great memories, but time to fix it up!
Disc golf course has been pulled. Looks permanent because teepads are gone too
