Hungry's

Amazing! Let’s start off by saying....FREE VALET. WHAT?!? We were told to sit anywhere upstairs which was nice. Our waitress Kay was great from start to finish. She gave us some great food suggestions. The gyro and Mediterranean bowl was great! The ambiance was laid back and fancy at the same time. The prices were more than great. I will most definitely visit again.

My wife and I had lunch at Hungry's today and picked up two additional orders for both of our kids. My wife and I ordered Greek salads for us with 2 skewers of chicken each. We're loyal customers and used to enjoy the food there. In the past the skewer of chicken used to have 3 large chunks of white meat. It is sad that nowadays the skewer has shrunk to 2 small pieces (each piece is literally one bite) and the price of the chicken salad went up to $21. Look at the receipt. We asked to add avocado on the salad and that was additional $2 per order. I was not very happy to spend $23 for a salad and still walk out hungry. The quantity has shrunk while the price went up. This is not what I expect from any restaurant so my wife and I decided we will never go back to Hungry's ever again. We complained to the manager but he said it was not his decision but it was the owner's decision to do that. Now it is our decision to cut this restaurant out of our list. I won't go back and won't recommend it. There are many restaurants in Houston that easily compete with Hungry's and get you satisfied. I can recommend Black Walnut Cafe just 2 minutes away in the same area that serves superb salads with any meat you like including blackened salmon which happens to be my favorite at a much better price, quality, and quantity. I give Hungry's 3 stars just for old time sake!

Absolutely love this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to have brunch. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Food wait time was not bad at all and every request we made was fulfilled. The croissant french toast is absolutely mouth watering

Management and wait staff are genuinely top notch. Celebrated a birthday here and the manager, Daisy, was extremely accommodating, and our server, Mo, went above and beyond. He was unbelievably patient and helpful. We very much appreciate it, and it honestly made the birthday what it was. Rare to experience that caliber of service—they even gifted a free bottle of champagne. Food was excellent too, even for our vegan guests. Thank you sincerely!

Great eatery in Rice village. Limited parking but tons of patio space for outdoor eating. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. The nutritious bowl and the fries are particularly good. Looking forward to visiting again!
