A wonderful preserve with many special plants. The two main trails are moderately difficult.

Good hike. No one on the trail. Quiet. Didn't meet any bears but did see coyote.

Nine Times Preserve, located above Pickens, South Carolina, is a great place for a moderate hike. It is located along the Eastatoee Creek just south of scenic Highway 11. There are a couple smaller creeks along the way, with a smaller waterfall. The trail has a few nice climbs and descents, which makes it a decent workout. There a few parking areas and three separate sections that you can hike.
