Always a wonderful time of worship. Drive from the Hickory area to worship here often.

We have visited Hope of Israel a few times. Their statement of faith is the reason I didn't make this congregation my regular place of worship, years ago. My (now) husband and I are Christians who believe Torah observance is supposed to be part of the believer's life (not to earn salvation, but to walk out our side of the covenant in faith) and that the law was not abolished when Yeshua died and rose again.nnHope of Israel doesn't hold the belief that Torah should be kept today by all believers, but instead promotes that Jews can still participate in Jewish traditions after converting to Christianity if they want to, and that believers can also participate to enhance their walk and relate to their fellow Jewish believers more.nnMy husband is ethnically Jewish, and we definitely enjoy celebrating some of those traditions, but for us our walk goes so much beyond his Jewish heritage - we want to keep Torah because we are children of God and He created those instructions for us to know Him and walk in His ways, for everyone who would follow Him.nnWe do enjoy visiting Hope of Israel occasionally for holiday services if our congregation doesn't meet. The worship is a blend of Messianic Hebrew style songs and contemporary Christian, the service includes some Jewish elements, and the sermon is pretty contemporary Christian.nnHopefully this helps anyone looking for a congregation to call home. It's a really nice place to visit and might align with your beliefs - just know that Messianic Jewish isn't the same thing as Torah Observant Christian.

Loving, friendly church. We go to a Baptist church but have always wanted to learn more and experience Jewish traditions and festivals. They welcomed us with open arms with the love of Christ. Awesome Messianic Jewish community!

A very friendly congregation with lots of love. As soon as you walk in the front door you’re greeted with Shabbat shalom, and then when you get to the doors of the auditorium you are actually brought to a seat by one of the ushers. The music was really great and uplifting. The message was well studied and very convicting to one’s heart. I wholeheartedly recommend Hope of Israel for anyone desiring a close relationship with the Lord.

Love the worship and praise! Most songs are in Hebrew and in English. All praise and worship is focused on God, not on ourselves. Also I've been learning so much from Sam's teachings. He takes a portion of Scripture and breaks it down into sections explaining each section and how we can apply it to our lives. Very welcoming congregation to both Jew and Gentile.
