Buckhorn Trailhead

Perfect spot to put in kayaks or just let the little ones swim!

This remote trail on the backside of Buckhorn has plenty of potential! It's remote and from what I can tell after visiting on two different occasions (both on beautiful weekend afternoons) and is seldom used. It's not very well defined but it does have intermittent trail markers, and it is unfortunately not well kept clean of debris. It seems many use the trailhead as a dumpsite for trash. But the walk is quiet and peaceful. We took some Cub Scouts out to clean up as much trash as we could and hope others will also pitch in in the future. I would love to see this trail cleaned up and to have it reach it's full potential. Wilson has so many natural resources and this one is just one of many; a hidden gem, even if it isn't as well polished as some of the others.
