Loved it cause it's part of history, hopefully no one will want it removed. These were tuff times for these rugged people. It took the first man and his wife all day to make the short journey, for the old car had to be stopped and water drained as it would get to hot, they would add cool water then go for an hour and do it again till they arrived from what the little story said. Sorry but had to show the out house.
Pretty but other than seeing the old Roger stations, not much to see. A cool quick stop
Came through here about 20-years ago on the Appalachian Trail. The weather was so bad we couldn't see a thing. In the area so we drove to the Wayah Bald parking area to see what we missed. Stopped at Wilson Lick on the way up the mountain. Wow. We'll worth the stop...
Shake shingle covered house complete with outhouse in the back. Nice stop to stretch on the way to Wayah Bald.
Beautiful location with a small history with photos included on a sign. First ranger station in Cherokee National Forest.
