I’ve been a customer here for roughly a year now. I’ve never once received anything shy of excellence from these guys. Kyle is my barber and he takes his time to make sure that your haircut is flawless. No matter what they always have smiles on their faces and you always leave feeling like your time was valued by them. Blessed to have found a place that cares about their customers and their craft. I would recommend them to anybody and everybody who wants a professional, sharp, and consistent haircut. And some good old fashion barbershop conversation.

Love the boys at the Mercantile! Such great people and they can cut hair too! If you expect to walk in and get your haircut good luck they are busy all year round I have to call for an appointment at least a week in advance. If that tells you how good they are I really don’t need to say much more. Do yourself a favor and try this awesome hometown barber!

I have been visiting the Mercantile Barber for a year know. These guys are top quality. I would recommend no other barber in Gaston County or Charlotte. All of these guys are down to earth and great to chat with in a new school barbershop with an old school feel.

Great guys, good atmosphere where you can go and just relax. Each person that goes through their door gets the same quality and service as everyone else. You will not find a better place or group of guys to get a hair cut from!

I was in need of a good beard shape up as well as a haircut. This place was recommended to me. I spoke to the owner via Facebook and made an appointment with Alan who rocks a mean beard himself, for the following day at 11:30. The shop was very clean, very professional, and very cool. Alan answered all my questions as well as made suggestions in regards to the upkeep of my beard. I also purchased some pretty good beard oil on the premises. Their prices were very good. All in all, I recommend this place if you're looking for a good haircut and a good beard shape up.
