Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area

Really cool, relatively new (to public) natural area. Pretty good hike on current trail. Very interested in coming back once they expand the trail system. A hidden Piedmont gem for when you don't feel like driving 3hrs to get a little variety in elevation

Place is awesome if you like the outdoors. Maybe even a little history. Been here many times. Also great for kids.

Nice medium grade loop trail up the mountain and back down. Trail follows a creek at the end of the loop. They recommend you travel in a counter clockwise direction around the loop. Great for kids as there are a lot of rocks for climbing on right beside the trail.

Fairly new trail, parking area, bathrooms. Fun to walk through wetlands to get to hill. Pretty creek area.

This park has a gravel parking lot with 2 handicapped parking spaces on a concrete pad next to the handicapped accessible bathroom. There is a picnic table close to the parking lot and to the entrance to the two trails. Neither trail is handicapped accessible. There is no playground equipment for children.
