Not much of a variety. Constantly running out of key items because there's nothing else to choose from. Catfish borderline salty. Fried chicken was stroke-worthy(extremely salty). Great desserts. Not too bad but needs work. I'll try them again in a few years.

The best food in Brookhaven, service was outstanding. Pass yo'self on by, and get that feeding bag strapped on.. This food is off the chain good..
While I've been eating Hudgey's since I was a little girl, I recently rediscovered them during my pregnancy for having an amazing hamburger steak. (For $8 you get a hamburger steak, baked potato, and salad to go... Can you beat that?) I'd been only ordering to go but tonight went in with my husband and two small kids. They had the buffet, I ordered my usual.nnThe buffet was quite good. All down home, Southern, like your grandma made it food. The salad is cold and fresh, and all you can eat. The drinks are 'self serve' but the waitress/hostess insisted on getting us refills anyway, and our drinks were never empty.nnAll in all, it might be dated, but the food is a hidden gem and to die for. Don't judge a book by its cover!
They have an awesome buffet. I had different veggies and the fried fish was really good. Sweet tea to add. Desserts are wonderful as well. Friendly staff too.
