I own a company with over 500 employees. I was excited for the meeting to say the least. Edward Jones has been around and they have a good reputation. I figured this would be a no brainer. Within 5 minutes of meeting with Dan I was ready to leave. I’m not here to bash anyone, but whoever is over this office needs to sit in on a couple meetings with Dan and potential clients. I definitely won’t be investing my money with them.

Amazing how true these reviews are. My account with Edward Jones after 15 years was cancelled without any warning by Dan Newton. His boss called and asked why I was cancelling and I was wondering the same thing. I’m awaiting a return call. Guessing it’s for the same reasons other posted. Losing others hard earned money and cancelling their accounts to cover his tracks. He is about as shady as they come. STAY AWAY!

I very rarely take the time to share my experiences on google but I think this is a must. If you are thinking of becoming a client or are a client of Dan Newton I urge you to do your homework. I am utterly shocked that this man represents Edward Jones. He told me on many occasions he had inside trading information to which I told him I wanted nothing to do with. After making several decisions on his own with my money which costed me thousands of dollars I left. I have already contacted his boss and will not stop until he is removed. From what I’ve been told he was already transferred out of one office because of his poor practices. Now he is in Madison doing the same thing. Please do not do business with him and if you already are I would move your money fast if there is anything left.

I had family in town over a long weekend. Dan showed up to my house ringing my doorbell around 9am. I answered the door and asked how I could help him. His response was that he was with Edward Jones and he was wondering if we could speak about financial planning. I explained very nicely that I had family in town and Saturday morning at 9am wasn’t how I envisioned discussing these type of services. I made the mistake of giving him my phone number and told him to call me in a couple weeks and gave an exact date and time. Starting that Monday he called me 2-3 times everyday for the next week. The following Saturday morning at 9am guess who was at my door ringing my doorbell. This time extremely frustrated I told him I wouldn’t be interested being that he couldn’t follow simple instructions on when to call me. I received 4-6 more phone calls until I threatened to call his boss. I did some research on him because now I’mnWorried this guy is going to show up at my house whenever he wants. He’s been arrested for trespassing, been in several fights in Madison, most recently getting kicked out of his gym for fighting with someone. Common Edward Jones is this the type of people you employ? I wouldn’t give you 5 dollars after realizing the little background you do when hiring someone.

One of the worst advisors I’ve met with. After 5 minutes I was already regretting my meeting. I was referred by a colleague in the medical field. He uses an advisor out of the Atlanta office. I figured same company, different office, what could go wrong.. Once Mr. Newton told me he had inside info, and to take advantage of this I needed to sign up today, I considered walking out then. He continued about hownHe is rated one of the best advisors throughout Georgia. After leaving the meeting I did some research and found out the exact opposite. I normally don’t take the time to write reviews but it is scary that this guy is risking people’s hard earned money. Please do your due diligence before investing with him. He doesn’t have a good track record and has lost a lot of money.
