Huntington Middle School

I went here for 6th and glad i left, Yeah some things were ight and cool but holy oof the school itself is horrible, i got bullied and None of the teachers did much about it, Some of them were awesome tho, Shoutout to my science and english teachers, They were the only cool teachers there

Theres many reasons for this rating, before i explain some i do want to say there are some nice teachers and i wish they would get a job at a better school they deserve better. A big point i want to hit is the medtech. Being a person with adhd i have to take medication, my parents had it set up that i go up to the office at 7:25 to take my meds. Sounds all ok, right? Well being a person with poor timing there should be a reasonable 5 minute window prior to and after the set time, but the medtech didnt seem to agree. She would threaten to put me in break detention even when i came within that window, it took a matter of three meetings for her to get it through her thick skull that im not father time.nnReason two: Pep rallies, this is more a personal thing but others do agree. I feel pep rallies should be helpfull, not full of poor music, performances, and not much of any message within the entire thing. They are also deafiningly loud which is pointless.nnThis one is just incredibly stupid and i dont understand why they do this. You have to walk along the wall 1 behind the other, it takes up valuable time, they space they allow you isnt even as wide as my shoulders. They say this is for visiters to be able to have space, which is ridiculous. Theres rarely visitors at all, and even when there are, they dont take up that much space.nnI have many more reasons but i dont feel the school is worth taking the time, what has been said should get the point across. P.s. I would like to have actual lunch, thanks asshats.

I dont like this school it doesnt allow 6th graders to do anything social ay physical.All we do is sit around and watch the 7th and 8th graders kick butt while we get bullied.This school does nothing about bullying.6th graders never do anything fun 7th and 8th do.If a girl wants to be a chearleader in 7th grade shouldnt she try and see how to be prepared.Maybe they should add more things to 6th graders so.when they grow up they will remember the coolest first year in Middle school. It should be a year to remember not a year to regret.

I am a 7nth grader who came here and I loved my time here

I expected more, my child had ADHD and Dyslexia he was in regular classes in previous school here they put him in classes with kids disabilities that are more extreme and want my son to do special olympics which I refuse to allow. THIS IS AN INSULT TO KIDS WITH SPECIAL DISABILITIES.nThe school district also has a problem with kids that have medical problems, my older son has seizures and heart problems causing him to have learning disabilities not to extreme but enough that he need to go slower on assignments and longer on test. he was not accommodated, but still graduated on time. That being said, they gave us problems about his attendance to the point we send our kids to school when they are having problems with asthma, seizures, & heart. Now because of my sons asthma he has to get note from doctor ever time he his absent. That is $30 everytime. parents that transfer her from someplace else and have kids with asthma, expect durning winter to have problems and have the school going nuts with contracts and constants nagging about them being sick, and saying you will go to jail.. and from what I have been told they had put parents in jail for it.. Cant wait to transfer. never had this problem before. he has only been absent 20days, which is a lot but not for a kids with asthma come from California to the cold Georgia weather.
