I always find way to much stuff...
Great experience. Went in late for some weights. Gentleman came through the door while I was telling my 13 year old to act right and he asked if I needed help. I told him I needed some 45 lb plates and a barbell but he recommended a package of weights that came out way cheaper. He even loaded them on a flatbed cart and put them in the back of my suv for me. I loved the variety of shoes on sale, all was very well placed and labeled. Accurate sizes in the boxes. I appreciate that. And I liked the sales going on. If you are like me and wanna save some money in good clothes, this is your place.
Staffing was thin, but I was able to get what I came for and get the attention of someone when needed. I was very impressed with the selection of athletic shoes! Earlier, I was looking for some running shoes at a shoe store and Academy Sports had a better selection (of 4E - extra wide) than the shoe store had. Nice! Pricing was good too.
Like most other places they are completely out of Ammo, at least when I was there. Also it took forever to check out. That said they have a good selection of hunting gear and would be worth your time to check them out. Wish they were a little closer to me and I’d go more often.
