Easy trail. Very flat and pretty fast, not technical at all. I think going clockwise is best for bikes even though it's not directional. Sandy in some spots, pine needles makes some corners slippery so watch out for that. Pretty fun if you push the pace a bit.

We were looking for an RV park or campground for a few weeks in the Panama City Beach area. Sites were slim Pickens or $$$. We came across Sand Pond State Forest Campground. Never have been there and reading mixed reviews, we were a little concerned about staying there but went ahead and made a reservation. It's only about 15 miles from the gulf at Panama City Beach, a quick drive. We arrived and found a lovely campground :). 20 sites all with 30/50 amp electric and water. Camp host is on site one. There's a dump station available. All sites are relatively large and have concrete pads. Several are on the water. Ours was site 13 and we loved it. The lower numbers are closer to the bathrooms/showers, also very clean. When we were there we in our 5th wheel, we also saw from tents to class A diesel pushers. No alcohol allowed so probably won't have any loud neighbors, at least not the 11 days when we were there, it was peaceful and quite. There's a couple well marked and maintained walking trails around the two small lakes. The gate code is provided when you receive your conformation, without it you're not getting in. They also accept Senior Golden Age passes which was a savings for us. If we are ever in the area again we wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Great Florida non-beach getaway. Well marked trails. Watch out for rattlers!

Sand pond trail highly recommended. One of the top 3 trails in the Fla. panhandle.

Very quiet peaceful and secluded park with pretty trees and trails. It is different from the conservation park with Gayle's trails nearby because of the more dark water and type of trees wide at the bottom and skinny at the top evergreen trees. Still the red trail has the wooden walkways across the wooded pond. Cool place for nature pictures!
