Boondocks Restaurant

I live in the area and not only eat at the restaurant, but often do take out. Took family visiting the area yesterday and had a bad experience. The young girl who brought out our order had the wrong item for one member of our party and was extremely rude when he sent it back for the item he actually ordered. Another waitstaff was also very rude-I agree with the other review that says they don't care about service any more. The food is great and the service is awful! UPDATE This is Oct 2, 2020 and I went for take out for my mother. I agree with the other review about the hamburger. They used to be charbroiled and delicious. The one today was much smaller, more expensive, and had little taste. Would have been horrible except for the cheese and bacon on top. Very disappointing.

We will never go back.nService was great. Very friendly staff but that doesn't make up for the rest.nWe had to wait 30 minutes for a table which isn't bad. But what is bad is they didn't have any chicken strips, hamburgers, mozzarella sticks or shrimp.nWe should have been told of everything they were out of before waiting for our table.nSure people go there for seafood but when you have a 8 year old with you that doesn't like seafood she ended up having a way overpriced grilled cheese sandwich. Not our idea of going out to dinner meal.nWe chose the fried fish meal and was very disappointed. As much as our 3 meals cost we would have at meat expected it to be a lot better.

Food was awesome. But by the time we finished we were not sure who was our server any more. The one we started out with sat down to eat about the same time we got our food. I suspect that it may have been shift switch time. A few other servers stopped by to clear the dishes and another brought our check. So all in all came out pretty good. It is right on the water and a cool atmosphere.

Always a great place!! If the wings are available they are on the pricey side but SOOOOO GOOD!

I love this restaurant! I've been going here for over 5 years when I visit the Daytona area. The crab legs and peel your own shrimp are my favorite. It's on the docks and has all the feels of a cool Florida restaurant.
