I graduated from Lincoln Park Academy in 2017 after going there from 9th -12th grade, and honestly the education I recieved from the school was phenomenal and has helped me in my S.T.E.M. courses in college. I had the chance to be the student of excellent teachers who really wanted their students to learn no matter how hard the material was (Mr. Gray, Mrs. Reid, Mr. Shields, Mr. Fig, Mrs. Jensen, Mr. Mathison, Ms. Forbus, Mrs. Larson, Mr. Louidor, Ms. Brome).nThe reason this school is a three star rather than a five star is because of the administration. I have never met such demeaning individuals in my life. The deans for both the middle school and the highschool had an air of superiority which came out when they would suddenly change the rules more than half-way through the school year and how often they patronized students. Even the teachers felt like they were treated like children, and these are superb educators who have proven their worth through how well their students performed in their classes, and standardized assessments. The office staff was rude, and I say this because I saw and heard one of them talk down to a teacher with a condensending tone simply because he did not know how school organization accounts worked (mind you it was his first year at the LPA).nTo end on a happier note, I have found some of my lifelong friends here and was afforded learning opportunities that cannot be found at any school in the district. I would recommend the IB program for students who wish to go to college or partake in a career of healthcare, or in STEM; otherwise please don't waste your highschool experience.

This school is great, but the greatness comes almost entirely from its teaching staff. Supplies/books are limited to none and there is little support past your teachers themselves. As a past student it is a surprisingly gilded school that needs to start updating to sustain its strong rep.
