I enrolled there in the beginning of 2014 for medical assistant. Went through the med term course which was 2 weeks long every Mon, Wed, and Fri. Once my loans came in I asked about getting any money back and I was told there is absolutely none leftover for me to get back. Maybe next time is what I was told. Also I'm pretty sure Mr. Shaw is the owner's Rosa Shaw husband. So that's a very biased review. Just an fyi. Don't enroll here if you expect to get money back!!!!!! They took at least $3000.00 for just the 2 weeks I went there after withdrawing. I never saw any money either.

The American Health Institute is very serious about providing quality education in the medical fields. All our students are provided with and urged to read, understand and abide by all policies of the school and take it as seriously as we do.nQuoted from our website:n“The American Health Institute is licensed by the Florida Department of Education Commission for Independent Education, License #3332, and the Florida Board of Nursing Continuing Education, License #50-7905 and Licensed for Practical Nurse License # NPPN70240. ABHES ACCREDITED. Approved for M-1 Visa students, Veteran's Training, and Military Spouses.”nThe American Health Institute is also licensed by the United States Department of Education and the disbursement of Title IV funding is heavily regulated by federal laws. The handling of these funds is strictly monitored. Additionally, many local county agencies have approved the American Health Institute for inclusion into programs to assist the needy.nStudents need to fully understand the requirements of any agency offering to provide them with financial assistance and their responsibility as a student to fully meet those requirements. Should a student not remain in compliance, all or part of their funding will be suspended as required by law. Further information is available through our website or through our financial aid office.

Steer clear of this school! They charge you full tuition and give you used OLD version books. They couldn't even pass ABHES accreditation without my wives credentials! They wanted her to fake documentation, they screw students over on their loan money, so much to say but to sum it up, STAY AWAY! There are far better schools and you get what you are paying for, but not in this case they charge an arm and a leg and give the bare minimum! and Yes Dan is the owner Rosas husband and he can thank my wife for getting their AHBES credentials he mentions

I heard of several problems with students getting their student loan money. They take more then they should, it is not given out on time, not a professionaly ran orginization at all. BEWARE OF overcharging, watch your money closely. I had a loan for living expenses and childcare, I know I was approve and I know who much, they insisted I was wrong, I had to drop out along with a few friends because of this loan issue. The education is also low to poor quality. Not good enough to pass the final exam, no tutoring assistance, THEY TALK THE TALK TO GET YOU IN, THEN THEY DON'T LIVE UP..BEWARE. this is my experience
