Beautiful spot, fun for the family.nnThis park is built around an old coral quarry. In the walls cut out of the rock you can see many different varieties of fossilized coral. There are some pleasant short trails through the trees. It is a fun place for kids (and adults) to explore.nnWe visited in January and didn't have trouble with the noseeums but I recommend bringing insect repellent.

Thank you for providing such an interesting and beautiful hike through the quarry. We were amazed at the equipment and intensive labor involved back in the olden days. A shout out to Kaylee for answering all of our questions. We really appreciated her knowledge and willingness to visit with us.

It's January and the weather is good. There are several trails available to walk. It's not too hot or cold and no mosquitoes. The Rock Coral Walls are cool because you can see the different corals that made the wall over the centuries. I recommend if you take any of the trails that you take your time to listen and look. You might see cool things hinding in plain sight.

Nice small park in the Keys. Large rocks with some very nice coral fossils. Many trees and insects to identify. Nice marked trail with shade. I believe it was only $5

Great place to visit and take a break from the Florida Keys Tourist Traps.nThis area is well preserved. The park closes at 5pm.nAt least allocate 90 minutes to walk the well cared trail and enjoy the Layers of Fossil Reef exposed from the excavation.nThere are a few displays.nOverall wide open space with low traffic. There's plenty to enjoy and less touristy.
