Nice place. It is reasonable if you live nearby, however if you live in Key Largo the prices are much higher. We only use the dog park and go for walks with the dogs. The dogs are not allowed on the beach. We may go kayaking and paddle boarding here in the future. The beach is well maintained and due to the paid admission isn’t crowded. There is a nice playground for kids and there are ball fields. Use of the swimming pool is an additional cost, we chose not to purchase that as we don’t swim often.
THIS is a park. Soccer Fields, Work out area, Basketball courts, tennis courts, and the swimming pool with high dive. BEAUTIFUL swimming pool. Boat launch area. A walk/ exercise path. Baseball fields, hitting cages.nA Dedicated Dog Park! Completely fenced in dog park complete with dog wash station and shade trees to stand under while they run free. PLUS a separate smaller area for small dogs that require separation from the larger area.nA Beach area! Sand, Sun and Swimming at the beach area that comes complete with restrooms and showers.nPlus the events held here at the outdoor amphitheater. Art Fest, Music Fest, Holiday Fest plus the nautical flea market each year.nNeighborhood events like kickball leagues.nThis place is central to the community and very well managed and maintained. A true place of pride for Islamorada.
This is NOT Founders Park, it’s the entrance to the Turtle Reserve.
This is a must visit place in the keys!!! It is a quiet park that includes a pool, playground, and a nice clean beach for the kids. Swim a little farther out or near the mangroves for some great snorkeling too.
Founders park is a staple of the Islamorada community. It’s great for locals and tourists alike. The sunsets here are as beautiful as they come. Swim, picnic, dock your boat. Everything and anything you want or need for a family outing. There is a small entrance fee, and free for The Villagers.
