I have been seeing Ali at Sports Clips for years. She cuts not only me but also my 7 year old son’s hair. Every time the cut has been perfect for the both of us. She is always warm and inviting and a great conversationalist. She is a great professional and the best hair stylist I have seen in my life. Would highly recommend upgrading to the MVP for the wonderful scalp massage.
I have been coming here consistently for around six years now. I can honestly say that my hair has never been cut better. The first time I came in I didn’t have a specific cut/style in mind and was unsure about what I wanted but Ali had great input and she consistently does a fantastic job on my hair. Also the shampoo/scalp massage coupled with the steamed towel is such a wonderful experience.nThe people here seem to really enjoy their job and their coworkers' company, which I think gives it a really fun and friendly atmosphere and makes it a nice place to be stuck in a chair for a time, which is important to me.nThe prices are reasonable: You won't get an 8 dollar haircut here, but honestly I don't think rock-bottom pricing at the expense of proper haircuts from quality stylists is something to aspire to. There are different levels of experience if you don't want to pay for the full MVP, though I would never get anything less, I mean, did I mention the steamed towel and scalp massage/shampoo treatment?nnAs tends to be the way with all popular places with a quality product, you have to wait in line. Since I am a reasonable person this does not bother me, and judging from the amount of people who also are willing to wait, I think the consensus is that the product is worth the wait. You can check in online these days so part of your wait is your travel time, and they have sports on the big television in the waiting room as well, to help pass the time, though I usually choose to bring a book. Saturday tends to be a very busy time, so if you're impatient probably choose another day; I prefer coming on Friday, but I will still do Saturdays occasionally since the online check-in system makes it pretty easy to time it right. Also, they have COVID precautions in place, so they take your temperature (via forehead), the waiting room currently seats a lot less people, and you have to sanitize your hands and wear a mask which definitely makes me more comfortable and is a small price to pay; I don’t want to go back to the dark times of shaggy hair that we had during the initial lockdown! And if you do have a problem with these precautions for some reason, don’t give the stylists a hard time about it because they don’t set the rules!
Ali was an exemplary example of an exceptional barber, she cut my hair to exactly what I had imagined and wanted on very little information. She was sweet and courteous with her conversation as well as offering me a military discount. 10/10 vest barber in Redmond.
Avoid. This was my first experience with Sport Clips, and it was also my last. My hair stylist hit my ears so hard with the comb tines that I’m surprised it didn’t draw blood. I specifically asked her not to cut my left side too short, but she cut it so short it’s almost a buzz cut. She said repeatedly that she’s “been cutting hair for 20 years”, but this is the worst haircut I’ve ever received, and I’m 60 years old. Not to mention her talking constantly about politics, serial killers, etc. I won’t be back. I’ll stick to Great Clips.
I have been getting my hair cut by Ali at this Sports Clips location for 7 years now and my styling is always excellent! The store is always clean, the stylists are friendly, and it is hard to beat a haircut while watching ESPN. I have been especially impressed with how well they are handling COVID and following safety measures to keep customers and stylists safe (taking temperatures before they let you in, sanitizing everything between customers, enforcing social distancing inside, etc.). I would highly recommend this location to get your hair cut!
