La Trattoria

This place is fantastic. I got the mushroom pasta and I think it is my favorite I've had anywhere! Fresh from scratch pasta and sauces. My son got the lasagna, hubby got another pasta dish, my two younger kids got a fancy pizza. The service was great, nice atmosphere. The manager was so nice to the employees as he was working with them and was just a happy pleasant guy. As I walked out, he was sitting outside and thanked me as I passed by. I would definitely go back the next time I'm in town.

Pizza had raw food on it. Asked for it well done. Came out kinda floppy. We like one four of three pizzas. The appetizer of fried calamari and Shrimp was great. He vibe was great. Music and young people. Nice. Good size wine pour.

The venue is very authentic and nice. Every detail is thought of. Our server was sweet. We were a big group and everything came on time drinks and food. The calamari appetizer was a bit chewy, hard and oily for my taste but edible I guess. The complimentary bread was beyond amazing. It was very soft and delicious. We ordered the Cacio Pepe pasta which is the one they make in front of you. The presentation was interesting but the pasta was not good. It was way too cheese and oily. It lacked taste. They ask you if you want truffle and end up charging 10$ for a few tiny pieces on top of the pasta price which is $32 so a total of $42 which is ridiculous. Even if it was a tasty pasta(which was not the case)it still would have not been worth it.

Pizza was excellent. Super busy and fun spot. Great ambiance. Nice staff. Now my only issue. I don't care about wearing the mask. But if you're gonna wear the masks, wear them. Half the staff and all the managers had the mask on their chin. Why? Whats the point? Just take it off. Doesn't go with those epic gold sneakers and tattered jeans.

Hands down best Italian food on 5th and maybe in Naples. You have to be patient when they are busy but they are always trying to accommodate! Great place for birthdays they made mine very special! I am a regular and that won't change.
