I requested a meeting with Ms. Collins to pursue an opinion regarding pursuit of a potential lawsuit. I forwarded multiple documents to her via email prior to the visit so that she could be prepared and limit our time together. Although many attorneys do not charge for an initial consult, Ms. Collins did charge a fee of $100.. Once arriving, Ms. Collins was not aware of the emailed documents, had not read the documents, yet quickly found them in her email box and printed them. Although Ms. Collins was aware of the nature of my potential claims before my visit, and through her assistant said she might be able to help, she seemed to have very little knowledge on the subject matter. I talked, she listened and smiled, said very little. She asked that I leave my file of documents, which I did, then I heard nothing for days. Once reaching out to her office, I was told she would not take the case, did not have time, and followed with a generic letter (asking me to sign relieving her of any representation) that again was lacking in any material information of value. When I again requested an opinion, she simply ignored me and did not respond. I paid $100. and a long drive to her office for absolutely nothing, total waste of time and money. She should probably stick to very simple cases. I would not recommend her for anything however due to her lack of care and responsiveness.
