This is a wonderful place that was donated to Roanoke County by two precious sisters who had spent so many years enjoying it themselves they felt compelled to share it with their neighbors for generations to come.
This is a lovely local park with trails through the area and a small stream running along side. Small cemetery with founders marked. Blooms in the spring but lovely in the summer too. Lots of mature trees and birds abound. Butterflies and squirrels running about. Bat house near the amphitheater. Quiet and out of the way.
Well maintained. Very few people know of this place. Perfect social distancing hike for little ones.
Nice secluded park, not busy like most. This is important during the pandemic yall
Great place to hike or picnic. They have one covered shelter that can be reserved but doesn't have to, and several other places to eat and enjoy nature at the same time.
