The beach is perfect. In April it is still cool, but beautiful. The town in April leaves a lot to be desired. There are 3 coffee shops and two bakeries. The bakeries open only on the weekends. On Tuesday there was literally not one place open in the entire town to get a cup of coffee. On Wednesdays there is one coffee shop open at 9 but there was a line by 8:45 and all of the outdoor tables were full before it opened. Tuesday night there were two restaurants open in the entire historic district and both had more than an hour wait. So my advice is that if you come before May there is nothing to do besides the beach. The water is too cold to swim and the fishing captains say the fish aren’t biting. There are only 6 stores open in town during the week and they were very cute but we had gone through them all in an hour,

Quaint little town on the Chesapeake Bay being remodeled and every aspect

Really interesting area....best part is all the abandoned places you get to see on the way there.

Quaint with a small town feel, dotted with massive historical structures. Decent selection of local shops and restaurants. Good for a nice walk around during the day.

Right out of a Hallmark movie scene. The town is small, friendly, safe, great food, park, ocean, and fun!
