This is an EXCELLENT store to work for!nnI have been working retail for a few years now and I’ve NEVER worked for a store that worked as a team as well as this one. The management is incredible, they communicate, they do not micromanage, and they trust you to get your job done. Every associate there is happy to help each other out. I really felt like I was part of a big family when I worked here. Truly one of the healthiest workplaces I’ve been in. There were a LOT of days where I was literally excited to come to work. I miss you 1593!!!nnI recently relocated to another Lowe’s and my experience here is so awful in comparison. It’s a lot more every man for himself and a lot less of a team effort. The managers at my new store do NOT care about their employees, they hardly ever speak to them unless it’s to yell at them over a bad review. If we get stuck with a bad customer they will simply tell us to figure it out and walk away. !!!! It’s nothing like the Portsmouth store !!!!nnY’all run a great store, and I had a lot of fun!! Keep it up :)

Lowe's had everything we needed to install porch step rails. Material was of a good grade and everything was close together to make it easy to gather what we needed and checkout. I have a condition that makes it difficult to stand on my feet for long periods of time. Without me asking one of the staff ladies brought me a very comfortable stool to sit on while I waited for my cousin to finish gathering the material. So kind of her. Wish I captured her name. Thanks Lowe's!

I was in the store late on a Saturday evening. Checked online for temporary window shades which showed in stock and even where to find them in the store. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any on the shelves. I found Paul and asked for his assistance. Paul stopped what he was doing to help us. He searched the aisle himself and found the empty spot, but he did not stop there! He searched the overhead shelves and found a case of the shades. I'm very thankful for Paul's customer service and helping my family feel safe and secure on the first night in our new home.

I'm giving Lowes 5 stars for their support of veterans, I sincerely thank you for the 365 days a year support. It is very uncommon to find a chain that is truly devoted to showing veterans this type of support- so thank you. The prices are fair, quality of products is good and locations are plentiful. On the downside, they could use more workers- getting help and finding answers can take a while but I still gave 5 stars because the weather might have caused staff to call out.
